Georgie update and give away.....

Hi Today we went to a physiotherapy session for Georgina. We need to try and strengthen some of the muscles in her legs that need the injections of Botox. So we were given a new range of exercises to do. It is going to take some time doing these with her and some of them like - putting your feet flat on the ground and bending over until you touch the ground with your knees straight she just can not do because her legs wont allow the muscles to stretch that far. She will need lots more physio after the plasters come off . Today her therapist who I must say has been brilliant told us that Georgina will now be transfered to the "more qualified" therapists for Cerebral palsy. We are so upset because we all liked her. Everything just keeps changing and it for want of a better word is "doing my head in" but Georgina is still my happy little girl :) We also were showed some splints she will be wearing and they aren't so bad and she can even have some cute pictures put on them. She will be wearing these full time and long term and we were told they wont consider surgery until she has had a few years of botox/plasters/splints/therapy so we are all getting used to the fact that this condition is here to say. Don't get me wrong I know that Cerebral palsy in incurable it's just that it's now really sunk into my thinck head.
We never got to take Georgina horse back riding last weekend as our weather has been yuk but we are heading there tomorrow so I hope the weather stays nice.

I wanted to experiment with cooking time with my clay as I have only cooking small thin pieces before so I made this little bird and cooked it up. I then made some clay dolls using the same thickness. I must say that I love this little bird, the colours are so muck better in real life.

There is some glittery clay in this mix and it gives a gorgeous effect. And I just had to add some feathers to her head. She is tiny and cute.

We are off to a bbq and fire works display comlete with bomfire Saturday night and the girls are so excited, me too.

Now I think I want to give this sweet little bird away so if you would like to give her a home please comment with one word that would describe your life write now and I am going to let Martin choose the winner a=on Tuesday my time.

Take care

I hope she continues to strengthen those muscles! We had a letter this week to say that our physio and occupational therapy would be changing, not looking forward to 'reintroducing' people into our world but it has to be done.
Hope your having a good weekend :)
